The tennis club in Mogliano Veneto in northern Italy operates two outdoor tennis courts whoselighting no longer met modern standards. For this reason, the outdoor lighting was completely modernised in order toimprove visibility for athletes with optimised illuminance and light distribution, to meet the technical requirements for hosting high-class tournaments, and at the same time to reduce energy and maintenance costs with a modern LED solution.

The customer opted for a lighting solution from LEDVANCE. This was due, on the one hand, to the brand's special technical expertise in the field of sports facility lighting and, on the other hand, to its comprehensive range of lighting solutions specially tailored to the requirements of professional tennis. The performance guarantee of the LED luminaires was also an important factor, which even exceeded the requirements of the FITP standards in terms of illuminance. With this in mind, the experts at LEDVANCE designed a tailor-made lighting concept for the customer and equipped the tennis courts with 12 FLOODLIGHT FLEX 180W and 16 FLOODLIGHT FLEX 360W floodlights.

The new LED floodlights at the tennis facility in Mogliano Veneto offer a number ofadvantages: with lumen packages of up to 70000 lmand an average illuminance of 530 lux across the entire court and 573 lux in the main playing area, consistently optimal brightness is guaranteed. High light uniformity (up to 0.89 in the main playing area) also minimises shadows and glare for players.

Thanks to these excellent lighting conditions, the new lighting solution meets the highest level of FITP competition standards, making the courts suitable for professional-level matches and tournaments. The LED floodlights also impress with a light output of up to 166 lm/W and energy savings of up to 91% compared to halogen floodlights. And thanks to an extremely long service life (L70/B50) of up to 120000 hours (at 25 °C) and a 5-year warranty, the long-term effort and costs for maintaining the LED luminaires are minimised.
